Leadership Training Kicks Off!

Last Monday started our fall session with our 1st training at Bentley. The feedback was terrific from the 130 in attendance, as the opening had the members and trainers laughing, all the while learning a valuable lesson. Please log onto www.bnimass.com and click on the events page for times, locations and directions. Enjoy the training and we look forward to working with you!

Getting Back To Basics

Patti Salvucci

As we get ready to start our new term, we want to thank the mentor coordinators for the suggestions and feedback that we gathered over the past year. Rick Boccelli, our Mentoring Coordinator Ambassador, had many conversations with the current mentor coordinators and the following ideas will be implemented.

  • The theme for this upcoming term will be “Back to Basics”. We will be focusing on four primary tools to help our members be successful.
  • We have categorized the Educational Coordinator files online for easy access to what you’re looking for.
  • We are launching a new name for the role: Member Success Coordinators = Mentor Coordinators.

We appreciate your input. Our BEST ideas come from our members.

Event Coordinator

A new position is being added! Once again, this idea came from several chapters, so we thought we would introduce it to all of BNI MA! The goal of the Event Coordinator is to help increase members referral business by promoting events and activities outside of the normal BNI meeting. The event coordinator will not have to attend training. The following is an outline of their responsibilities.

  • Promoting within the chapter the events organized by BNI to increase members’ networking skills (i.e. regional training events).
  • Coordinating arrangements for chapter social events, i.e. outdoor and indoor seasonal events. Ideally such events should occur at least once in every leadership team period.
  • Promoting within the chapter, social events organized by BNI on a regional or national basis (i.e. golf days, awards dinners).
  • Promoting any other BNI events that the Leadership Team would like to make available for chapter members.
  • The Event Coordinator reports to the President.
  • The Event Coordinator will assist the chapter Secretary/Treasurer to collect and manage any funds associated with events.

Please send Paula Doucette your new Event Coordinator by Oct. 1st, and we will start communicating with them directly.
