Fred Powers, Mentoring Coordinator |
|
Fred Powers, a long time member of the Golden Givers chapter
recently shared his chapter's "key to success" around the mentoring
program. The first step is willingness to partner with a new or experienced
member and work with them in becoming a productive, healthy BNI member.
Always keep in mind that we are all a work in progress and can improve in any
area. Once
assigned to a success partner, a one on one is imperative. If you have a new
member you should schedule their MSP and go with them for support. This
solidifies the importance of foundational training. Guide them in getting
substitutes lined up in case they need that for future purposes. This can
result in new members. Help them get referrals and show them how important
quality referrals are. New members
often feel pressure to pass referrals which is why it is so important to
explain the referral curve to them and encourage them to bring visitors while
they are building trust. This will benefit the whole chapter. Last but
not least it is crucial to document all results to give to your Mentor
Coordinator. This information is extremely helpful to our members
productivity and financial success. More on mentoring next month from another
successful chapter (TCOB)!! |

HOLDEN IS GOLDEN ON SUBSTITUTE DAY |
|
Congratulations to all the chapters that participated in
"Bring Your Substitute Week". The Holden chapter of Golden Givers
had an incredibly successful substitute/visitors day. The President, Jeff
Lerman, did a great job of promoting the event through continuous word of
mouth announcements along with steady e-mails. Eleven
substitutes arrived as visitors and by the end of the meeting they were
definitely potential future members. Plus several other substitutes from
other chapters dropped by for a visit. All and all they took in three new
applications with numerous others interested! The hard
work of the President and the dedication of the members really paid off. |

BNI GAME |
|
The BNI game has begun, but it's not too late to play! Any
chapter can play and it's been suggested that we participate in July and
August. Several chapters just completed it and had tons of fun. Leadership
teams can download the scorecard from bnimass.com. The game is
motivating, encourages referrals and definitely promotes attendance. Check
out the scorecard on the Website and see how many points you can earn just
from bringing one visitor. Be spontaneous, have some fun!!! The winning
team will be cooking for the losing team at a get together this summer. Don't
miss out on this chance to be either hosted or the host at a BNI end of
summer bash. |
